IRRV Benefits Conference and exhibition 2008

Bacs exhibited at the Institute of Revenue Rating and Valuation (IRRV) Benefits Conference in Harrogate from 5 - 8 February 2008. The conference provided an opportunity for professionals in the delivery of housing and council tax benefit to keep up to date with activities in the benefits world.
 
The new Local Housing Allowance (LHA) that came into effect in April this year changed the way housing benefit payments are paid. Bacs met with delegates to gain an understanding of the issues local authorities have with benefits payments as a whole and to understand their concerns. It was an opportunity to discuss how Bacs can assist local authorities and highlight the benefits of paying tenants their housing benefit by Bacs Direct Credit.
