Senior Manager for Operations and Compliance
Dave Stockwell joined Bacs, the UK’s automated clearing service, in 1989. He has held a number of roles at the group and has an in-depth knowledge of key areas of Bacs operations including the end-to-end payment process, management procedures, security, business continuity and risk management.
Day-to-day Dave works in close co-operation with the 13 member banks that own Bacs, and VocaLink - the infrastructure supplier to Bacs. Dave has also worked closely with Bacs service users and bureaux, as well as agency banks, on a number of Bacs related activities.
Dave’s Operations and Compliance Team is responsible for ensuring the integrity, reliability and robustness of the clearing and settlement operations of the Bacs service. This is done by monitoring Scheme service levels with suppliers and members, providing full audit, risk and security services for the Bacs Schemes and ensuring incident management and business continuity arrangements are in place for Bacs, its suppliers, users and its infrastructure provider.
