How will Bacs choose the winners?

Each month, the local authority with the highest score (of thos local authorities registered to compete) across the Leagues will be announced on the front page of the Direct Debit Challenge League website and awarded a winner's certificate.

The competition will close at the end of the current financial year (April 2010) and the overall scores will be compared. The winners of each division will be the local authorities with the highest scores achieved over the course of the year. In addition to the six division winners, Bacs will award two further £1,000 charity donation prizes to recognise exceptional work.

The first will be an outstanding achievement award to the local authority that has demonstrated the most outstanding contribution to the promotion of Direct Debit, while the second is the best marketing campaign initiative award, for the best campaign idea. These prizes will be awarded on the basis of materials submitted to the judges over the course of the Challenge League promotion and the League website explains how this can be done.
