Hitting your targets
To improve the Direct Debit system for the organisations and individuals who use it, we need to set targets and to beat them. Success depends on you, the banks and us working together. It's worth looking at your own Direct Debit processes and setting your own targets for performance.
Look at:
- How many indemnity claims you deal with and what causes them.
- How can you reduce them?
- One method is making sure your customer receives sufficient advance notice before the payment is collected.
- How many unpaid Direct Debits do you have to handle and how can you improve that figure?
And remember training your staff is crucial to a successful and efficient Direct Debit system.
