Integrated Direct Debit

Work doesn't stop once Direct Debits have been processed. There are amendments and cancellation advices and some Direct Debits will be returned as unpaid.

When handling these processes there should be one clear objective in mind: Keep the customer informed at all times:

  • If there is an amendment such as a change of name - confirm it
  • If the Direct Debit has been returned - tell the customer
  • If you are going to represent a Direct Debit - use advance notice.

There are a variety of products and services available to help you manage these processes and when these are all used simultaneously they can help you run an efficient, streamlined and cost effective Direct Debit operation.

All of the products are available in either an automated format or as a piece of software.

Here is a checklist to the solutions available and how to obtain them.

Before making any commercial decisions discuss your requirements with your:

  • IT department - check what systems you are running before procuring a solution that may not be compatible
  • Bank - especially if you are considering AUDDIS
  • Software supplier - be clear about your intentions and initially concentrate on your requirements rather than the solutions available.
