National Customer Service Week
6 - 10 October 2008

What is National Customer Service Week?

National Customer Service Week is designed to raise awareness of customer service and the vital role it plays within an organisation.

It was set up by the Institute of Customer Service (ICS) - the professional body of customer service whose primary purpose is to lead customer service performance and professionalism.

Bacs and National Customer Service Week

Bacs is an advocate of good customer service and we know that a customer's experience with an organisation collecting payments has a strong bearing on whether or not they are loyal to the organisation or whether they switch providers.

Our research shows that 55% of those who blame an organisation for a problem say they are more likely to switch supplier where this is possible.

It is really important to focus on keeping customers happy with the level of service they are getting once they have been recruited. So always ensure all of our staff are fully trained to offer a good level of customer service.
