Accessing Direct Debit without becoming a service user
Businesses that have not been sponsored into the Direct Debit Scheme by their bank and therefore do not have a service user number (SUN) may still be able to access Direct Debit by engaging the services of a Facilities Management (FM) provider to collect or administer Direct Debits on their behalf.
A guide giving an overview of the current Direct Debit Scheme Rules as they apply to FM providers, so they can ensure both they and their clients are fully compliant, can be found in the Information Hub below or to the right of your screen.
The Little Bacs Guide to Switching FM providers can also be found in the Information Hub to the right of your screen. This guide explains the four switching options available; gives an overview of the switching process and suggests some best practice guidelines for stakeholders when undertaking a switch.
