We have been issuing some helpful guidance, hints and tips to support organisations to continue to operate Direct Debit during COVID-19.
In addition we have been working with the industry to implement two temporary rule changes to help organisations during COVID-19.
The first temporary change introduced in early June relates to the provision of non-AUDDIS Direct Debit Instructions to paying payment service providers (PSPs).
The second temporary rule change effective from 29 June 2020 is to increase the dormancy period to 24 months to minimise the impact of payment holidays during the COVID-19 pandemic.
